Burnout Recovery for Women in Leadership: A Guide to Leading with Energy Again.
What Would You Do If You Knew it Would All Work Out?
Think about it. If you knew it would all work out, how would you lead that team meeting? If you knew it would all work out, how would you present that information? If you knew it would all work out, how would you start that hard conversation? – These are example specific to your work, but they also apply to your parenting, your health, and your relationships.
I bet you would be a lot more confident. I bet you would be a lot more curious.
It’s not an easy journey, to go against the norm or the expectations of what’s always been done. But it’s our jobs as humans to positively disrupt the norm. It’s the only way to innovate.
It’s our jobs to take back our lives. Disrupt the norm. No one is coming to help us do that. It’s our jobs not only for ourselves, but for our children. So they can learn how its done. It’s only then that the world will begin to change.
If you need a little confidence booster, or a reminder of what can happen when it all works out, try this:
First, ask yourself these questions:
Where is the place that brings you the most peace?
What are things you do in your life that bring you joy?
If you could do anything, what would it be?
Pro tip: Answer these questions without judgment on yourself. And answer them without thinking about how you should be answering them. We will always have obligations, problems, and troubles. But if our life is focused on the belief that it will always workout, then our obligations become opportunities. And our problems become part of our purpose.
Next, reflect on how you can turn your dreams into reality.
Try adding “Joy” to your To Do list. And under it includes the things you listed above
If you don’t live in the place (physically and mentally) that feels good to you, write down small, actionable steps to creating a space or moving to a space that brings you more joy
Take action. Become that thing you want to become. Start as a beginner. Take a class (there are so many free ones!). Ask a million questions. Show up. Over and over again. And never give up.
Next, we make this a sustainable part of your busy day so you can lead and pivot with confidence. Get the full step by step Burnout Antidote Guide here (it’s only $17).
